My future career plans as an educator, include starting out as being a technology facilitator for my school district. This job would include participating in preparing teachers to teach with technology in all subjects, and all grade levels. Eventually, I would like to become a technology leader and lead my school district in choosing new and innovative technologies for our future classrooms. I will strive to succeed with my goals as a future facilitator and leader of technology integration in the education field.
The reason I have chosen this degree and career path is because I want to make a large impact on our student's education. I feel that technology integration is the way education is heading and feel this is the way our students are learning best. I have grown passionate about the power of technology and the changes that it will bring. Students are no longer pen and pencil kids but digital learners who deserve to learn in the most effective way for them possible. It is not fair for our education system to not conform to our current and future students. With my graduate work through Lamar University, I plan to utilize and motivate others the way this program has motivated me.
